I am excited for the August Creative Dare. This is all about Letting it Go! and I mean just 1 hour to 1.5 hours for you to Let it Go. Tell your family you need some private time, the kids, the dog, and carve out some good old ME TIME. It is not really a lot of time and I know that August is busy. Trust me, I have three kiddos but for the first time I am planning my first Tracy Staycation so trust me, I know the challenge.
Every day I have been trying to do a Painting a Day. A Doodle, a fast water color in my Moleskin so this is not a lesson I am not partaking in myself. Every Monday I create LIVE with you and in less then 1 hour I prove to you weekly that it can be done! SO…………IT IS YOUR TURN TO LET IT GO!
Your August Creative Dare should you choose to accept it is to Let It Go! Pick a favorite Quote and set the timer! Pick out your favorite supplies to have them on hand, your art journal or a canvas and see what you create in 1.5 hours. Remember this is not to stress you out but to see what happens when you just give yourself permission to create. It may be to let your day go, let a situation go, celebrate something in your life but time for your to shine through! That is what I do every Monday despite what is going on in my life or that day.

Is it my finest piece? Nope. Does it make me Happy? Yep. And every Monday I have carved out that time to be with you! My kids are fed, the garbabge is out, the work is done, I don't schedule things….it is ME TIME.

- Create a piece in 1.5 hours or less

Mixed Media Mondays have always been about me Letting It Go. When I have been in times of transition, change, etc. those Mondays were there to Let it Go. You were there! My Art was there! In those times when it is hardest to Let it Go I do. I know it is not easy! I do it every Monday and sweat a little but once Monday night is over I sit back and enjoy the fruits of my labor……(or as Glue Dad calls it "Wine-Thirty)
