That is right! I hit the track this weekend!..not that easy to do after being sick and not to mention the eggs Benedict for breakfast. So with my lungs primarily back and 75 degree sunny weather I had no excuses. The twins joined me to add miles to their running club total and we had a great time.
I did 2.5 miles and even hit the bleachers. It felt great and gave me that important time to enjoy the weather and the kids (of course my teenager who is on the track team slept in…teenagers!).
As much as I enjoy being on the hiking trail I was surprised how much I loved being on the track. Lap after lap I felt pretty good and happy to be moving my rear again.
I swear this is the best way to feel motivated and creative. I take for granted we can do this here year-round and need to stop making excuses. The excuses are what hurt the most….time to move the rear!
