I cannot even begin to explain where I have been in the last 4 months except it involves hot air balloons, two countries, 14 states, and a whole heck of a lot more. That about wraps it up. So if you happen to check back here……..I have decided to return to the blog world and document my fine adventures or is that misadventures………and I will start backwards to just last week.
Last week was our 4th Annual "Kids are Back at School Mom Kayak Trip". We have been going for the past four years already! I look forward to this trip every year and this year was no let down. Of course I booked the trip when it was sunny and 107 degrees but the day before San Diego decided to cloud up and get cold!
But, with my fine set of friends they "manned" up and dared the weather for this trip. Actually, I bribed them with pre-board mimosas at my house and I think that helped. On th way down to La Jolla, the cold, cloudy and wet weather persisted but then………..

and it was the most perfect day ever!
Oh happy day. We all had a great time. Minus one boat taking a little swim (no names mentioned but I will give you a hint….2nd row, 3rd picture) it was amazing. We even got to venture into two caves.
We are so lucky to live so close to the Pacific Ocean and just don't take advantage of it enough.
Thanks Tina, Kelly, Lori, Victoria, and Shawn (my fearless paddling partner)……….for the laughs, the mimosa toasts and sharing this great day with me.
