Well 2010 is coming to a close and I want to take the time to wish everyone a VERY

HNY_2011
For me 2010 was filled many great ups and down moments which has made me a stronger and in some ways a more open person.  I turned 40 this year and took many of life's lessons to heart and while initially fought them, I eventually embraced them.  I learned to open my heart to many and eased myself from those who needed so much.  I learned to say "No" more often.  I embraced my three kids and rid myself of that aweful "Super Mom" title.  I am part of a great village!  I have have exposed myself and admitted that I am not perfect.  I have embraced my OCD ways, learned from them, and even welcomed a little Furball in my life who has showed me love in ways I never knew existed on 4 legs.

I have cried, laughed and shared more than I ever knew possible and realized that what others think is not so important as long as you are living the life you want to live.  I embraced my creative self and tried to find myself through art, my photographs, and right here writing on my blog.  I shared that art I am always so afraid to put out there for criticism but realized that it was a reflection of me and who really cares.

So while I am a work in progress I wake up every day embracing what life has to throw at me. Sure some days I leap out of bed and some I feel like crawling right back in but I reazlie that you have to climb those mountains, weather those storms and learn from your mistakes to see what life lessons are there. I have lost, loved again and taken risks.

So in 2011. it is worth repeating……….

My Motto for 2011 – "In the end we only regret the chances we didn't take, the relationships we were too scared too have and the decisions we waited to long too make. There comes a time in your life when you realise who matter, who doesn't, and who always will. So don't worry about the people from your past there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance take it.  If it changes your life let it.  Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it." ~ McMillen (author Unknown – many variations on this quote)

I wish I could give credit to the original writer but am thankful I came across it.

I close the year by thanking those who stood by my side, those friends who; met up for a happy hour cocktail, the much needed pedicures, the morning cups of tea, the miles traveled and the flights flown, the jokes and laughs we shared, the mountains hiked, the shoulder that was extended, the love, the furball who has thrown up and left her fur about to show me it just doesn't matter, my kids who fill my heart each and every day, the family that stood by my side and is truly the "wind beneath my wings", and everyone who I am blessed to have my life.

Happy New Year for 2011 and Blessings for what is to come.
