I was honored to be asked by fellow Artist Liz Hicks  to be part of a Virtual Gallery Walk Artistic Inspiration: Then and Now …….an Art Walk of sorts. I took the leap and have been participating in local Art Walks and this seemed like such a fun thing to be part of!  San Diego has some amazing art shows and I am just discovering them.  I feel like I have found a whole new world!  My World!  and now that art world has gone virtual……

When she posed the idea and asked me of course I said YES!  First off I am among some artists that I personally admire their work (and am happy to call many of them friends).  I am honored to share and see their work daily.  I believe that there is unending creativity in this world that can be shared by all and we can learn from one another.  There are techniques that we see that we can integrate into our own work and find the art that speaks to YOU!

The artists participating are…..

One question that Liz posed to us was to share an inspiration.  Immediately I thought of the great artists that have come before me like Picasso, Monet, Shakesphere as a writer, Mozart……

Immediately who came to mind and who I have an affinity for art is none other than Dr. Seuss, Theodor Seuss Geisel.  I am lucky enough to have visited local art studios who feature his work as an artist because he lived in La Jolla, CA.  He was far more than an author and gave us so many amazing images.

So join us October 1-5 as every day different artists will be featured and we will share more about what inspires us!

Thank you Liz for the invite!  Time to get painting!

"Live your life so that when it’s time to ask where the time went, you can answer: “It went to joyful moments with family and friends, to my search for passion, to doing work that felt like play, to standing up for what I believe in, and to exploring this beautiful world we live in with an open heart.  My time went to LIVING my life!”
