This past week my parents left.  After 2 months the visit came to an end but not before my dad came into the Studio one day and said “What are we painting?”.  I made some room for us both and away we went……

I literally felt like I was painting with Bob Ross and his “Happy Clouds”…only Bob Ross seemed very Zen while my dad was using not-so-Bob-Rossy words….he definitely needs to let it go….

Here I was painting alongside my mentor….

What we do are beyond different styles and he is has always been an example to do what you love, learn as much as you can, and always keep your sense of humor…

I did manage to design my 12 X 12 Canvas for an Art Retreat in April…

In honor of this great day in the Studio I want to pay homage to Bob Ross and agree that “Everyday is a good day when you paint”

To my personal Bob Ross (who I can attest he did once have the Michael Brady Fro)…………..but now I love his “Silverado Special” (I may be out of the Will for sharing these but in all fairness my bowl cut was all the fad!)

Thanks Dad for making me reach for more in life and art……you never cease to amaze me!

You are my Hero and I love you………

I was reminded by so many to cherish this time and I do with BOTH my parents.  Please feel free to leave comments as my Parents do read my blog but are not on Facebook.  They love sharing so much of this joy from my Studio.  ♥

Be the leader of your own journey. – There are far too many capable people who don’t pursue their dreams and goals because they let their fears, or others, talk them out of it.  They give up before they even try and simply let life’s river flow them downstream.  Choose to be stronger than that.  Choose to swim upstream when you have to.  Choose to do the things in life that move you.  Let others lead small lives.  Let others argue over small things.  Let others cry over small wounds.  Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands.  But not YOU.”
