I know I am no where near the age to have someone graduating but denial is getting me nowhere.  The past few weeks/months have been a whirlwind of activity and unloading the camera has reminded me of all the wonderful things I am part of.  One such activity was graduation for Hunter…..

Graduation1

Words cannot express how proud we were to share this day with him….

Graduation2

The ceremony was on a most perfect day…and knowing me so well he gave me the Kodak moments I wanted….

Graduation3

Graduating with honors is such an accomplishment and very happy for him…

The afternoon was capped off with a nice lunch to celebrate with family at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse…

Hunter James……the foundation given to you from you Mom and Dad is a strong one.  I see the hard work you do, the determination, and the goals you have set.  As I step in I stand alongside the big shoes that have given you this great start and know that I don’t take that for granted.  I am proud and happy to have a front row seat to capture the good times, be there to lean on in the tough times and celebrate what life has in store for you.  Your Dad and I are so proud of you and there are so many others who are too.  I love you, Trace…..the future is all yours.

As we walked away it hit me that Michaela now has three big brothers and I am so proud of all of them…..these kids are our past, present and future.  For that I am grateful.

And yes, you can guessed that I shed many happy tears this day.  I want to capture times with them all.  And that is why I follow them around with the camera like a nut….MOM….STOP IT!  I even get that look from Hunter already!

Let this Mom just have her moments!

Don’t wish your life away.  Experience it.  Work at it.  Everything you go through grows you.  Sometimes you think doing something is a total waste of time, and then it ends up being one of the best things you ever did.  Amazing things can and do happen when you least expect them.  Let each day be a scavenger hunt in which you must find at least one of these things: a sincere laugh, an act of kindness, a realization, or a lesson that leads you closer to your dreams.”
