Life raising a teenager is not always easy! Ok, that may be the understatement of the year for me. There are days you just want to ring their neck, speed up the clock toward them moving out and pray that you are doing your job as a mom to give them the tools to be responsible and hand them off into the world as contributing members of society. I laugh when I have a day or week that just takes the life out of me and I tell a friend and they sigh in agreement and are glad they are not the only one experiencing this. As my wise friend Gigi said those tough times of teenage attitude is "God's way of emptying the nest."
Last weekend I had the pleasure of seeing Tyler make his Confirmation and along with it being an accomplishment for him it was alongside some of the nicest kids. It was another beaming mom moment……
It was a nice service and one I hope brings him faith for his lifetime.
It is moment like these in a teenager's life you are thankful. Because as you sit there praying you are doing your job right as a mom you hope it is enough just doing the best you possibly can. You too have to have Faith…..
