3 months ago to the exact day we were newly married by 2 days and earth movers arrived and we started this construction journey (November 18th to February 18th) . It is beyond mind blowing to think what we have taken on and tackled in 3 months. There have been lots of laughs. I will not lie there have been a few tears and yes some good disagreements in paint aisles, tile aisles, etc. I am so glad the aisles of Home Depot cannot speak. So from this to this…..
So many pieces of the puzzle came together……even the tile:
The carpet is so awesome and hopefully one day the rest of the house will join the addition….
Move in weekend is done!
all the rooms were shuffled around, furniture moved, and lots of things cleaned out. Friday night this happened……..
We have a friendship with so many who participated in this journey with us. Special thanks to our Architect and dear friend Mark Scott. His plans are what put this journey in motion. To our contractor and always the diplomat, Mike Coble of Coble Construction who was professional in everything he did. I truly can recommend him and his subcontractors!
Stay tuned…working on a slide show of the process. The kiddos are happy to for their own spaces!
One more space to add and we are done! Time to get this circus under one tent!
Rather than focusing on what you don’t have and begrudging those who are better off than you, perhaps you should acknowledge that you have lots to be grateful for. Developing a habit of appreciating what you have can create a new level of emotional well-being and strength. But the real question is: do you take time to feel deeply grateful with your mind, body, heart and soul? That’s where the energy to take positive action comes from. So don’t let negativity and drama get the best of you. Your brain is a radio transmitter. It broadcasts thoughts, directions and vibrations into your life – you get to choose the station it’s tuned to. Happy, successful people understand this and tune out negativity to make room for positivity. Be wise enough to follow in their footsteps.”
wishing you many years of happiness in your new environment, it looks beautiful.
