The response from my friend that reminds you that one small act of kindness goes a very long way. Our art, whether intended for ourselves reaches and impacts others as well:
Tracy,
….I wanted to write and thank you personally for organizing this beautiful gift of cards from all of you lovely ladies. I know you have been through some rough times yourself, and it really makes it that much more meaningful that you took what you went through and thought about what would be inspiring to me!
Thank you my dear friend, from the bottom of my heart…..It means the world to me to know that such a wonderful group of people care about me and are praying for me.
…..I am constantly amazed at your goodness and kindness. I thank God for putting you in my path in life and truly hope someday to be able to meet in person. Please thank your lovely parents for me, both for raising such a terrific daughter, and for their beautiful card and wishes.
Thank you seems so trite Tracy, but I cannot think what else to say. You have changed my life for the better in so many ways and I cannot wait to feel better and be back to harassing you in Monday nights!
Love, hugs and prayers,
M
P.S. Each and every card was truly a work of art, but I loved yours because I know how much work you put into it, having seen your post without having a clue it was for me!! I am honored to have a Tracy Weinzapfel original!
Last night I painted for me…with a purpose and because it just felt good. I needed to make a card for a friend of mine who is not feeling well. I just want her to know I am thinking of her. I am not a card maker. But I do like to paint so I thought why don't I just downscale the painting and bring a card to life the same way I do a painting (so see a class in this soon!)
Here is the card:
MATERIALS LIST:
Paints (DecoArt), Stencil (The Crafter's Workshop), Ink (Dr Ph. Martins), Stamp Ink (Marvy Heritage & StazOn), Buttons, Stamp, Mists (Tattered Angels)
Step aside Hallmark, there is a new girl in town…..
To my friend who is not feeling good I am happy to send along a little something to let her know I am thinking of her. Watch out for more cards from this girl. Loved the smaller scale and just creating for me!
"Everyone wants a perfect ending. But over the years I’ve learned that some of the best poems don’t rhyme, and many great stories don’t have a clear beginning, middle, or end. Life is about not knowing, embracing change, and taking a moment and making the best of it without knowing what’s going to happen next."
