I love the ocean and beach. There is something about sinking my toes into the sand and just letting it go. I grew up a fresh water girl from The Great Lake State but I have adapted over the past 20 years to love the salt water. I miss the sound of a lake with the water lapping into the shore but there is something about the sound of the waves rolling in that I just love.
I live so close to the water and we spend lots of time there in the summer when we can but when it starts to cool down I go into hibernation and miss it. So this week I decided when the work day was done and I had some time on my own it was down to the beach I was going. I needed a little "me" time so I packed a little cooler, grabbed my favorite book, my camera and I was there with my toes in the sand.
I don't think enough of us (especially Moms) take that time to do what we love. I had the best time just people watching, waiting for the sun to go down kicking back and what a fitting chapter to be reading…
It gave me the much needed time to just relax and I loved every minute of it.
And yes kind Sir, I do see you so can you please stop running past and getting in my shots…..all my best in that lap marathon you are training for.
Good night sun……thank you for this blessed day. I know just how fortunte I am to live in such a beautiful place.
This girl with deep Midwest roots loves the sea and the salt and every adventure she takes.
