I have had the worse case of writer's block or blogger's block of late.  It is so hard to force yourself to write when you feel uninspired.  As I write I want to share a song I heard the other day that is giving me the much needed inspiration I am seeking (it just came on Pandora again):

How I have never heard this song before I will never know but I just love the lyrics and it rings so true for me.

"I Was Here"

You will notice me
I'll be leaving my mark like initials carved in an old oak tree
You wait and see
Maybe I'll write like Twain wrote
Maybe I'll paint like Van Gogh
Cure the common cold
I don't know but I'm ready start cause I know in my heart

I wanna do something that matters
Say something different
Something that sets the whole world on its ear
I wanna do something better
With the time I've been given
And I wanna try
To touch a few hearts in this life
Leave nothing less
Than something that says "I was here"

I will prove you wrong
If you think I'm all talk, you're in for a shock
Cause this dream's too strong
And before too long

Maybe I'll compose symphonies,
Maybe I'll fight for world peace
Cause I know it's my destiny
To leave more than a trace of myself in this place

I wanna do something that matters
Say something different
Something that sets the whole world on its ear
I wanna do something better
With the time I've been given
And I wanna try
To touch a few hearts in this life
Leave nothing less
Than something that says "I was here"

And I know that I will do more than just pass through this life
I'll leave nothing less than something that says "I was here"

As we create LIVE every Monday together this song rings true.  I received the nicest message from somoene last week "Thank you Tracy for sharing your creative process with us.  I tuned in last week for the first time and did not chat but was so encouraged to not be a lurker and participate next time……I learned so much about layering and not being afraid to just try something new" ~Lila.

It is messages like that which remind me just how you leave your mark.  Along with the emails are your  art pages and canvases I keep getting inspired from:

From Shawna Martinez:

This from Paula "Tracy, Thank you so much for teaching me how to do this.  I absolutely love the way it turned out.  Without ever having an art class, sometimes I'm a little lost on how to get the effect I'm looking for.   One of these days I'm going to have to force myself to take a class because I really want to learn how to do people and I just can't manage facial features.  I hope you like my work that you inspired."

Many more of your projects to share which I will do!  Here is an awesome place for inspiration:

Maybe the biggest compliment one can get is that in some small way you inspired another.  With that thought I think about leaving my mark……no matter how big or small.  I was Here.
