I am so fortunate with the friends I have in my life….friends who thanks to the Internet not only crossed my path virtually but became reality. Over 10 years ago I met some fabulous women who came together due to our mutual passion for scrapbooking. I heeded the warnings of meeting strangers on the internet and little did I know these women would become more than friends.

Through the decade they would be there for the ups and downs of life, children dilemmas, births of kids, grandchildren, weddings and so much more. They would become like gramma/papa’s and aunts to our kids. We have endured the death of one of our own and prayed for many sicknesses, struggles and triumphs. We have had the opportunity to attend meet-ups, dinners and visits across the USA. When I travel across the states there is not one state that I cannot visit without one of girls living there to make me feel right at home. We are more than friends.

When the opportunity arises in SoCal several of us get together at Gigi and Darrell’s…..they make us all feel at home and are Gramma Gigi and Papa to my kids. Their home is our retreat and we all love going. They have known Tyler since he was 3!

Sunday was the chance for us to gather since Char was in town from Texas. It was awesome to get together catch up fill our hearts with friendship, and our bellies with Char’s cooking. Yum! The kids and I had the pleasure of touring Ft Worth with her 5 years ago and we loved seeing her again. Joey immediately remembered her as the lady with the coke machine.

What a nice visit along with yummy food! Loved our time and am thankful for those friends near and far who have shared these past 10 years. Thanks Gigi, Diane, Carol, and Char for filling my heart and making this a special day. Just what we needed…..a visit home with friends who are family.
