Last week I had the fortune of traveling to Pittsburgh, PA for NAMTA (National Art Materials Trade Association) Show.  I had a couple of long days of travel but I managed to fill that time with my travel art journal (5.5″ X 8.5″) and boy was I inspired!  I wanted to share some of my latest pieces all created while flying across the United States.

Plan Believe Worth Happy

What I love about traveling is having limited supplies (they all fit in one carry travel on tote) and being challenged to use what you have.  There is limited space so a water brush is necessary!  I find that when I am flying I have the most time to just think.  Also, when I hit the delays in flying I don’t get stressed out.  I swear if everyone would take up painting in the terminal there would be a lot less frustration.  I welcomed the compliments and questions (not every day you see an adult coloring).  This is where you have to embrace your art and love what you do.  That has taken a long time for me.  Stay tuned for Part 2, was my flight home.

When you love openly and honestly, you always strive to become better than you are.  When you strive to become better than you are, everything around you becomes better too.  There is never a perfect time or place for love like this either.  It happens naturally and accidentally, in a heartbeat, in a single flashing, fluttering instant in time.
