Mixed Media Monday “Life is a Journey” – 9/21/15

Another great  Mixed Media Monday in September!!  This week we hit the distressed feeling as that was the mood I was in and I loved the creative process on this one.  It was fun to see where the page took me.  We played with DecoArt Weathered wood and the Media Line.  Here is what I painted LIVE last night……

This was fun to just see where it took us and keep it simple!  Plus watching the Weathered Wood do it’s thing is like a science project….

I thank you all for joining me in my NEW Studio! Don’t forget to join our Facebook Group HERE:  Mixed Media Monday’s!  It is truly about the inspiration, the connections and letting it go. Just a reminder to check out my calendar of events for classes and Mixed Media Monday Dates. Our next Mixed Media Monday LIVE is Monday, September 28th!

Until then…do something creative everyday!

No one is perfect, and the sooner you accept yourself for how you are and who you are, the simpler life will be.  It’s OK to know your weaknesses and work on minimizing them.  But it’s not reasonable to expect you’ll ever be perfect.  Instead, accept that you are more than good enough just as you are.  Celebrate your achievements, and congratulate yourself on what you do well.  Spending more time focusing on your strengths will build your confidence and self-worth, which affects pretty much everything else.”

  1. Love how your piece turned out. I must try that wood and crackle stuff. I like that you are mixing it up. I am feeling the seasonal changes too!

  2. I dont know if it is just how the heart looks on my phone or if you did something to make it stand out. I like how the heart almost seems like it is kinda coming off the page. Did you add something to it at the end? Love the piece.

  3. This could totally be something right here at the the ranch Tracy – a heart carved in a tree in the moonlight. It is TOTALLY LOVELY – rustic and romantic. What a FABULOUS project. As always – I just feel so inspired and happy after watching MMM. Thank you bunches and bunches for just being yourself…. and by the way – your mid-life crisis is going well – intriguing and all good – eheheheh!!! Hugs. j.

  4. Wow! Just started following you on FB and imagine my surprise to see a distressed piece from Tracy!! A little Andy influence maybe?! Love it and your all of paint. Huhs
