Wednesdays evenings are a busy one in the household with kiddo activities and after playing mom-taxi I came home inspired to just unwrap a few new canvas and take another project from art journal.  That is a scary leap to commit to taking something from a piece of paper to canvas.  I was inspired by my friend Stacey who suggested which piece to paint next.  So with 1.5 hours to myself I just went at it……not for work, not for anyone…just me.

For some reason one thing I find easy to draw is martini glasses (hmmmmm…………wonder why?).  So I decided to give a step by step of this project I created this past week:

What felt so great about this project was when I dropped off the kids I took that 1.5 hours to paint and just let it flow freely……

I literally lost myself in that time and was late to picking up my son (only five minutes from church of all places) but boy did it feel good to just release this and bring one of my ideas to life.  I literally painted myself into a creative coma and was ready for bed. Boy did that feel good.  What have you worked on for just you lately?  What medium do you just release…a journal, a layout, an altered project?  Right now the canvas is speaking to me but I also love my journal and my blog!  Ever so important to find what is your release whether artistically or on the golf course! (and before anyone asks, no I do not golf.  Could you see me chasing a little while ball all over LOL).

I need to either open my own bar to adorn the walls with my "Beverage Art".  Well, we never know what our calling may be and this one just seems to come easy.  See Mom and Dad, I told you college would pay off!! LOL

For now these original pieces are available on my Etsy Store
