The preparation for the Society of Decorative Painters Show continues and I am playing with the DecoArt 2016 new product lines! Today I share this quick and easy wood beach sign I made! I really love this!
Here is how I created this piece and the materials I used:
- Brush on DecoArt Colorstain (Turquoise) with a brush on raw wood sign
- Brush or wipe before drying to create even coverage and expose the wood grain
- Stencil Shells and “Beach” with DecoArt Letter Stencils (Between the Lines) with DecoArt Outdoor Living (Picket Fence, Porch Swing and Pergola):
Here are the materials I used..
Lots of fun new projects coming out of the Studio this week!
The problem is rarely the problem. The problem is often the incredible amount of overthinking you’re doing with the problem. Let it go and be free.”
Love that DecoArt Colorstain. Wish I would have used that on some signs I did recently! It looks so GREAT on your BEACH sign Tracy. What a fun project. Looks SUPER! j.
Thanks Joi! loving my art from me of late…..and just for mE!
LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this!! I am dying to try the colorstains!! The hardest part is going to be deciding what colors to try first! They are all so pretty! Thanks for sharing this great sign with me!!
so glad you like it and it inspired you Barb!
Love that turquoise – perfect for the beachy theme! Only 2 more sleeps before we head to the coast ourselves for a week’s holiday – can’t wait to smell the sea air xx
Enjoy every minute of it Teresa!!!
Love the colour Tracy. It is a pity it is so cold here at the moment, I cannot imagine visiting the beach to actually sit. We would get brown ok, rust not tanned lols.xx
I need to bring the sun and heat with me at the end of June!
I love it! I can’t wait to try the color stains…
so easy to use!
Oh my heck… this would be such a great idea for a pool sign….only stencil “My Beach” … think I might try it 🙂
Oh I may have to try that one too for our pool!
