I have been trying to create outside my comfort zone lately and playing with texture. Here are my two latest pieces in my art journal…
This is one of those pages you have to feel because I used lots of DecoArt Mixed Media Modeling Paste..
The next page was a practice for my upcoming challenge with Andy Skinner. We will have official details posted next week. I wanted to break out the color palette and just play. This is my first attempt at steampunk/industrial with my own fun twist…..
Stay tuned as I will have some fun tutorials coming up using the DecoArt Mixed Media Line…here are the products I love and use!
Watch out Andy and Steampunk…there is a new girl in town.
I love this new style! It looks great! Can’t wait for tutorials! Yes!!
Working on them this weekend Lisa! Thanks so much! Have a great Sunday!
WOW these are really cool. I love the colors and the textures! I might have to add to my order before it goes out.
I know Kathy! Loving all the play time! If you do want to add to your order hit free “local delivery” so not paying shipping again 🙂
Love the new work Tracy, you can actually feel and visibly see the texture!!! Love it!
Awe…thanks so much Laurie!!!!!! means a lot to me!
Love your 2 pages! Looking forward to tomorrow night.
ME TOO!!! Thanks Judy!
So love your feminine flair on the steampunk bodice & heart, Tracy!! They’re gorgeous. Makes me like steampunk 🙂 The texture is amazing. I’d still have to add a fabulous flower or five! Can’t wait to see you in action.
Thanks so much Laura Jo! I need to find a way to make this style a reflection of me and trust me…it is not easy! I am intimidated by the upcoming challenge but won’t let Andy see that!
Really lovely pages Tracy! You did well to come out of that comfort zone with these textures…now, as I am sure Mr. Skinner would say- try a bit of Sepia, and maybe some Payne’s Gray! heehee You can do it! “)
Thank you so much. I won’t dare tell Andy how scared I am of this challenge!! Never let them see you sweat LOL!
