The last few months I have had some fun opportunities I want to share.  I have been to Dallas 3 times in one month!  I am finally unloading all the fun pictures from my adventures.  You got to love it when things work out and you get the call to make a last minute trip to Dallas for the True Value Reunion Show.  It was very last minute but the stars aligned and I was able to make the trip. Thankfully all weather crises was averted and we all could meet on Friday to set up the Show.  Excited to work with Stacy again and meet Dan!

True1

This was yet again a new Show for me but very similar to the Hardware shows I have done before. As always I am open to new places, meeting new people and sharing an experience.   Set up went great and we even had time to visit Dealey Plaza and The Grassy Knoll. Being back with Stacy is always great and Dad was so fun to work with.  He coined the  nickname “Stracy” for us.  We are something and found ourselves busting out in uncontrollable laughs.

True3

I had a light changing harrowing event that I cannot even begin to describe other then a parking toll bar came out of no where and nearly karate chopped my head to my near peril.  Being the dear caring friend that Stacy is who witnessed the whole thing she fell to the ground in laughs….LOL! Dan learned quick to walk with us or he would miss out on so much.  Here was the scene of the “incident”…….

True4

Leave it to this funny man to re-enact it….

True12

But I made sure we celebrated Stacy’s SURPRISE Fake birthday Mexican Style……Sombrero and all….

True5

This show had long hours…7 am start time!  We perfect our Chalky Paint talk and spin it over and over….we made a great team. Our down time was filled with laughter….fellow booth neighbors and silliness. You got to love a job where you can put your heart into and have fun.   What was truly great was working with these two…

True2 True9

We went to Gilley’s for the Reception and happy to say baby got back but I can still boot, scoot, and boogie. Stracy danced and we lost one hour due to the time change…..boy that was so much easier in our 20’s!

True6

I thank you both Stacy and Dan for the opportunity to step in where needed and work. I am happy to say that Stracy will be going to Las Vegas and Colorado in the next few months. It is a pleasure to call Stacy boss and friend. Makes “the work” so nice.  She has heart and is in whenever I say things like “let’s climb on the metal bulls outside”.  Dan was quick to the camera.

True8

I even got to meet Hall-0f-Famer Johnny Bench and get a signed baseball!

True13

It is all about working very hard and enjoying all the BIG things that come your way…..

True7

Thanks Team DecoArt and to all the nice True Value peeps I met!  It was right back to Dallas the following week…….Yee haw!

You have to do hard things to be happy in life.  The things no one else is doing.  The things that frighten you.  The things others can’t do for you.  The things that make you question how much longer you can hold on and push forward.  Because those are the things that define you.  Those are the things that make the difference between existing and living – between knowing the path and walking the path – between a life of mediocrity and a life filled with happiness and success.”
