I will admit it that the day after Christmas was a wrap……

Not because I wanted it behind us. Ok, yes I did.  I vow to be truthful and I have to say that the stockings were hung by the chimney with care…..

Christmas2

the presents were ordered, delivered and wrapped in the nick of time…..

Christmas1

It was a lot….we have a lot.  A new family we are forming; new traditions, bringing old ones with us and being open to new ones, we have a full house, teens in the house, we have construction going on.  As the Mom, and the navigator of it all at times I was tired.  I/we are blessed but behind the scenes that is a lot to take one but we did it.  Dinner and then church (my favorite service of all)…

Christmas6

Family game night…Christmas7

we unwrapped presents….

Christmas5

PS4’s for the boys, clothes for Micky and we had a handmade quilt for Hunter made of his mom’s clothing.  John broke our “No Gift” rule and got me a massage/facial gift card. I think he knows just how much I need some down time…and I got my SDSU baseball shirt!

Christmas8

We were together…we are a new family….(thanks Mom and Dad for being part of it all!  Love you both!)

Christmas3

This fella and I……..

Christmas9

and we are doing it together……Family First.  In the last day or so I have read a book, took some down time, enjoyed taking down the decorations with the boys and thinking “job well done, we did it”.  I am ever mindful of the blessings and thankful for all we have.  So for those in my group who just held it together I raise my glass and say…we did it.  We brought them together, we saw smiles, our heart smiled, we stopped and we took in all we have.  We made note of things that worked and things that did not and reminded ourselves what the season was about.  I am looking forward to 2015.  I have a new last name, a new lease on life and will dig deeper and become a better person.  2014 was one heck of a wild ride………..a great ride.

Christmas is a WRAP!
