November had so many highlights and as I download my photos I am reminded of them. Back in October I posted about Micky's art project she created for a PTA sponsored art program called Reflections. Later that month Joey created his project. He submitted a photograph of a storm picture he took.
It was fun to work with them and share what I love! With the help of a friend (Thanks Kelly!) who gave us that saying to tie into the theme of "Together We Can" Joey was proud to submit it.
Last month we attended a ceremony where their submissions were judged again and they received certificates.
They received their certificates proudly….
and last week we found out that both their projects are moving on to the next level to get judged. I have no idea what that means but it is very exciting for them both.
I love that the PTA has this extracurricular activity to support art and I always try to support the kids when they want to do something for it. It saddens me that art has taken such a back seat in our education system.
