San Diego is known for it's sun but we have winter too…..we have to chase it down and drive to the mountains but if the conditions are right we have snow. So off to Julian we went in search of snow……..
I want to share another fun trip that we took. I have lived in San Diego since 1992 and one thing I miss greatly is seeing my beloved Detroit Red Wings regularly. Hockey in the land of the sun does not get a lot of air time. Kurtis wanted to see a professional sports game and I saw that the Red Wings were in Anaheim in January. Seriously! I would be able to see my hometown team on this side of the Mississippi.
So Mark and I took Kurtis and Tyler up for a game and boy was it fun! The best was when the boys leaned over me and asked if there would be any fighting. I told them to turn around and sure enough the first punch was thrown…….bring it on!
The Wings did not prevail but nonetheless I got to see my Red & White in person so all was great!
Many of you may be wondering how I survived all these road trips and thanks to Mark I can show you what great company I make on any road trip. Thank heavens Mark likes to drive! I am pretty much worthless as you can see.
