This mom of three cannot believe where the time goes. My oldest is 20 and the twin’s turned 16 on Monday. You just want them all to know every day of your life that being their mom/stepmom is the BEST job ever. It is the hardest, the most rewarding and the worst compensation. What you get back in intangibles makes up for it.
This one got the gift she asked for but the first part was up to her to earn it……..
Happy also to say she is starting her second season on the Varsity Girls Bulldog Basketball team! Excited to watch them this season!
Proud of them all….To my kiddos…….
I miss those days of stepping on Legos, having your toys across the living room
making gingerbread houses and giggling in bed…I miss the stolen kisses when you were sleeping and watching to make sure you were breathing.
the time seems to be fleeting yet every step of the way I love having a front row seat to see the amazing unique personalities you all have.
my kiddos, all so different.
I may not be your friend because I have to parent, you may see the errors of my way every step but the common denominator is looking out for you all.
my love for you is stronger then the first time I held you in my arms. It is more determined.
may you be gentle, kind and soft in the heart……be giving of yourself because you have so much to give!
be funny, be unique, stand out….be humble and always know that tomorrow is a new day.
Grandpa tells me…….some days are diamond and some are stone. his words remind me that I have the chance to always stand back up when life gets me down.
be present……
know that I am always here and am on the job day or night for you. this Mom job is the hardest one, the most rewarding and the one I live for ♥
so if you ever doubt you have these words to assure you……
Time to take on this day and be ever so thankful this month. This week is the twin’s birthday, my dad, brother and uncles! November is a good month! Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
As you age, you’ll learn to value your time, genuine relationships, meaningful work, and peace of mind, much more. Little else will matter. – Remember this, especially when the going gets chaotic and tough. Focus on what matters in each moment and let go of what does not. Eliminate needless distractions. Realize that too often we focus our worried minds on how to do things quickly, when the vast majority of things we do quickly should not be done at all. We end up rushing out on another shopping trip, or hastily dressing ourselves up to impress, just to feel better. But these quick fixes don’t work. Stop investing so much of your energy into refining the wrong areas of your life. Ten years from now it won’t really matter what shoes you wore today, how your hair looked, or what brand of clothes you wore. What will matter is how you lived, how you loved, and what you learned along the way.”
Love your post!!! So, so true!!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!!!
Thanks Judy! ♥
I really like your new stamps. They are really different from the usual Christmas stamps.
