I am giving back…………and in a huge way.  Proud to do it and putting this out there to anyone looking to donate to a good cause.  I am heading up 6th grade camp fundraising for my kids 6th grade classes.  For those who know me, my PTA Volunteer days are behind me and I am proud of them but this job seemed to be calling my name.  The 6th graders need to raise over $18,000 for them ALL to go!  I have twins and that bill alone is $600 (so if you see me with a wide eyed begging look that is why).

So I did not get “roped” into helping but stepped up and figure I can go out with a hoo-rah or (75) 6th graders may be camping in my living room in January.  I will further add that normally camp happens in June so they have the whole year to fund raise but this year it happens in JANUARY so that makes it even more challenging.

If by chance your company or organization is looking to benefit a great group of kiddos this is a worthy donation.  I can get you boxes of candy to put at your work place too 🙂  Or just contact me to buy a candy bar or two or three or four! (or I have to eat them!).   It is $290 per kiddo to go and it is everyone or no one but I am not looking at it that way.  Locally if you see those kiddo’s selling candy bars please buy or toss them some money.  Otherwise my living room will have chairs made of these boxes…..

I have raised thousands of dollars for Relay for Life and now am tackling this. I am organizing fundraisers and excited to see this goal met.  If you just feel sorry for me and want to donate please email me at [email protected].  I know that everyone has their own kiddos so no begging from me but know there are many who can step up too!

Just trying to make a difference in some small way!  This is my way and hope it encourages others to give back….it feels good!  I hope to report back in with the successes as I help support these kiddos.
“The difference between ordinary people and extraordinary people is the word “extra.”  As Anne Frank once said, “No one has ever become poor by giving.”  Whenever you can, go out of your way and do something nice and unexpected for those around you, especially those who may never be able to repay you.  Be the “extra” in extraordinary.”
