We are so lucky to live in a place where hiking is abundant and mountains surround us. I have to say that my hiking has taken a backseat to some medical issues with my ankles however when I get the chance I will head out with my hiking buddy Kelly for some exercise, fresh air, and basic girl chat (aka venting or bitching on some occasions).
We take in nature:
We jump for joy (at least I do):
We create art…..
(Don't tell her but I always have this urge to hurl a rock at it just to get her goat)
so you must be wondering what us two hiking and environmental enthusists do after a long hike……wonder no more:
followed by a boat-load of these babies
I always say there is nothing better that clears the mind, body, and soul like a good hike and Mexican food! Ole'!
Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves. ~John Muir
