The holidays are busy but every year we have our annual ornament exchange with my village. These are some of the most amazing, special people in my life. We are all busy moms and it is hard to find the time to get together. We were missing a couple this year but we have the rule of kids first. We managed to get last night in together which was exactly one year ago to the day we did last year’s!
Now of course I try to make my ornaments but the motivation was lacking plus I do not do Christmas crafting or art. Nope, don’t like it and never have. The whole glitter thing is just not my thing (with the exception of my glittered balls MMM which always brings a laugh). So this year I set out to make a joke gift along with some ornaments and this is what I came up with….along with a bottle of local wine.
Thanks to Andy Skinner my silly Santa ornament ended up on Hochanda TV in England yesterday (there will be payback)!
The fun comes with the trading of ornaments and seeing what crazy wrapping Shawn is going to show us all up with!
Cheers to my girls, my tribe and women I respect and adore. To the laughs, the tears and the crazy stories we share (Shawn wins this year). You are all more special to me then you will ever know! Bring on 2017 and making more time for us.
Happiness is a how, not a what. A mindset, not a destination. It’s about enjoying all the little things, while chasing after the big ones. Happiness does not start when “this, that or the other thing” is resolved – it happens now, when you appreciate what you have. So no matter what else may be going on, always remember that you have been blessed with this moment and the ability to live it as you choose.”
I think you need to send Andy about a dozen of the famous Santa Belly ornament!
He is getting one just for making fun of me!
You really need to come to the UK and do a few shows, we crafters would all love your amazing talent X
I will be in the UK in June 2017!! Coming to teach but not ornaments (for obvious reasons) lol
I really think you gals get more beautiful every year – what a gorgeous photo of all of you. So glad it turned out to be a fun evening. I personally think your ornament is adorable Tracy. Heheheh – love it that it made it on to Hochanda – now folks all over the UK are making it with your name floating around too!! Loved reading this post. Thanks bunches. j.
