My Word of 2015 seems to be ringing true and I just take every opportunity to WRITE when I can. In the absence of no laptop which I found to be quite liberating I have embraced my iPad while I am traveling. I am taking those quiet moments to put down my thoughts and WRITE……
In the world of Social Media…How I am choosing to LIVE is taking moments to be in the moment. As I travel back home from Vegas I am ever so grateful to have the opportunities I have worked so hard for. I am not crazy about travel but it is so great to embrace new places, eat some good food…and check dates to make sure I was not at the MGM where there was a measles outbreak!
I find myself wanting to just exercise my writing…It is exactly that..exercise….
So many of of us are afraid to paint, write, create without knowing what the outcome will be. Guess what? we don’t know the outcome of life. It’s a a surprise and sometimes when I start writing I have no idea where it will take me. That is how I treat painting. Sometimes I sure wish I could reproduce and recreate but my mind goes in a million directions. How many creative ones out there feel like that? Also how many of us actually embrace it and trust ourselves to let it take us where ever that place is? Trusting that and that change is hard to do. But it does come back to you tenfold when you realize you are not alone. Just this week I got this email…..
You never know when what you share will make a difference! As the plane descends into home sweet home of San Diego…I challenge you to embrace the outcome. Trust yourself and see where it takes you. Not every piece is a masterpiece. Some of your greatest mistakes are your best techniques and sometimes that scramble of words turns into something important to be heard.
Bucket List item…Write a book and have it published…maybe one day! In the meantime I am just going to trust the outcome.
As Winston Churchill once said, “Success is never final, failure is never fatal. It is courage to continue that counts.” Nothing could be closer to the truth. Persistence is the mother of all productive effort. Failures, small and large, happen every day to the best of us. The strongest, most productive people aren’t the people who always succeed, but the ones who don’t give up when they lose. In the heat of the moment when you feel like quitting, think about how far you have come and why you started in the first place. Oftentimes you’re a lot closer to making a breakthrough than you think. Some people give up their efforts when they have almost reached their goal, while others conquer their goals by exerting, up until the very last possible second, more vigorous efforts than ever before. Bottom line: Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit – so KEEP GOING!”
I paint but throw it in the drawer when I’m done lol. Maybe someday I’ll actually show someone! I never painted until I found MMM, so I am making progress lol Thanks for being my inspiration!
Thank you Debbie!!!! In your work you find what you want to share!
