Today I was driving home and one of my favorite songs came on which is so worth replaying especially this time of year……..

How you Live by Point of Grace:

Point of Grace – How You Live

I really love this song and try to live my life this way.  It just is about living life now…..use that stuff you hoard (yes you art supply hoarders I am talking to you!).  USE it and Live life.

I saw this quote the other day:
"Life as we know it is so short. Making the most of years we are granted is a matter of being ourselves even though we know that we will inevitably encounter people who disapprove of our choices. When you shake your tail feathers like no one is watching, you will discover that there are many others who appreciate you because you are willing to let go of any inhibition. By doing this you help others know it is okay"
It made me happy and proud to think that I may not shake my tail feathers like everyone else but that is a-okay!  I looked around me today and looked at some of the little things that make me so happy………..
Red Velvet Bundt Cake (got that free for National Bundt Cake Day….who knew!  What a great day to celebrate!)
OPI Nail polish in the brightest of Red shades…….
a good cup of tea in my favorite big mug (my mug makes me think of my friend Randi)……..
the USA today crossword puzzle on my new iPad (ok, the new iPad deal is not so little but so cool!)……..

It is the little things for me sometimes.  I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams and it is just the simple things.  I swear if you don't take those moments to just live in those simple moments you are so missing out!  It is "How You Live".
This comes after one of those days (Monday) you just want to trade in:  sick kid, soccer tryouts, choir, forgotten paperwork, carpooling, work overload, conference call, etc., laundry, house, dog, etc…..and although I would not trade those crazy mom moments I like those little moments filled with a bundt cake, a glass of tea, a crossword puzzle with pretty red nails.  Does not get much better!  What are some of your favorite things?  I bet if you looked around you would see them right there…….
Time to shake some tail feathers!!!!!!!

"I believe the older you get, the more access you have to real fun: You know what makes you happy, which isn't necessarily what you once thought it would be. In every moment, you have the ability to choose what serves you best interest and will bring you the most fun. Why not do it now?" ~Oprah
