Creative_DareIt is time for our August Creative Dare!!!  Monday I created my project for the Dare…..LIVE

Here is my creative Dare for you for August:

  1. Create a project featuring a photo/portrait of YOU!
  2. Journal or use words to describe who you are TODAY!
  3. Incoporate your own handwriting in your piece

Ready, set, CREATE!  I know this is truly a challenge and I have embraced it myself!  Let who YOU are shine through!

For my project I created a 11X 15 page in my art journal and this was a tough one for me!  I wanted to show what 42 feels like for me today………..

Paints, Gesso & Decoupage (DecoArt), Charcoal Pencil, Ink (Winsor Newton & Dawler Rowney), Stamp Ink (Marvy Uchida & StayzOn), Template (The Crafter’s Workshop), Watercolor Crayons (Craon d’ Ache)).

If you missed it LIVE on Monday you can catch the recording HERE:

Immediately when I announced the challenge some of you himmed and hawed.  I told you this is a create DARE and I really want to see all of YOU this month!  Andy put it perfectly:

“I actually love the idea, Tracy.  I’m not that thin, young looking girl that I used to be but that’s not what it’s all about.  I have scars from things in life, some that show, some that do not, but they all make me “who I am today” and I’m… so thankful that I have my grandma’s diaries and things that my momma has written so….I want to do this for my kids!  Your page was gorgeous, Tracy, and thank you so much for taking the time to not only plan these challenges but to share yours with us. ♥♥♥”

Those bumps, bruises, and scars in life is who we are today!. It makes us unique.  That is OUR story to be told.

It is easy to submit!  Just upload your layouts below “ADD YOUR LINK”!  If you do not have a blog to link to don’t worry!  You can still upload to Flicker HERE and link from there too!  I DARE you to get creative and to work outside your comfort zones….I have some prizes ready to go and will be picking random winners each month from those who upload their projects and take Dare with me! ♥♥♥

Thank Angie Reece for the photo from Monday!  It sure was fun! See you all next Monday…same time and channel!
