If you love working with watercolor paint, these bright and bold blooms are the perfect art journal page to create! I’ll be showing you how to paint and then add line details to make your flowers really pop. This is easy and attainable for everyone (even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush!)

Prep your materials by taping off your page with painter’s tape and misting your watercolors with water. I’m also going to mist my page with water too.

I’m using a #6 round brush to add some color to my page. I’m adding some yellow for my flower centers and adding some pink, orange, and blue for my petals. I’ll also add some green to my background. Dry with a heat tool.

Can you create with a Sharpie? Yes, you can! I am using a Sharpie Fine & Ultra Fine to add some detail lines to my flowers. I am adding some dots and speckles to my flower centers and lots of outlining shading to my petals. I’m also going to draw some leaves in the green area in the top left corner of my page.

I’ll add some more green watercolor in my black space around the leaves to get those to stand out a bit. Dry with a heat tool.

I’ll add some more shading and definition around my flower centers with a Stabilo Aqurellable Black pencil. Remove your painter’s tape. Finally, I’ll take a ruler and my Sharpier and just draw a black border around my art piece.
