We are excited to see the changes daily in our new world……..Cabinetry in the closets (look out world, more organization!)
We can now look down our new hallway (more storage!)
Color is on the walls! (we decided the back wall needs to be stepped up to a darker shade of grey so that will be repainted soon)
and our small bathroom is once again back together with a new tub (thanks Dad)!
The tile is selected to go in starting next week….
We are getting closer to that bathtub! I can see it now!
So many decisions and lots on our plates as we bring things together. Never a dull moment but seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. We are blending things, making this home our home. Involving the kids and combining a family. It is not easy. It takes effort, decisions, standing your ground, giving and taking. I keep saying a new normal. Work schedules are changing and it may look easy on the outside but not always. It is just worth it. I truly believe your home, big or small needs to be your sanctuary and the heart of it all. Soon the kids will have their own spaces and we will build new spaces. It is a process and one that does not happen overnight or with a magic wand. Each step is a step forward. Each coat of paint, decision on color or style or texture is a step in the right direction. You have to trust and know that things have a way of working out. Family first that guides you along the way.
Ignore your doubts. Forget about fitting in. Stand out! Think about it. If you spent your entire life focusing on what everyone else thought of you, would you forget who you really were? What if the face you showed the world turned out to be a mask… with nothing beneath it? That’s what happens when you spend all your time trying to be who you think they want you to be. Don’t sell yourself short. Don’t save face and lose your soul in the process. Doing so does not serve the world. There’s nothing helpful about shrinking so that others won’t feel insecure around you. You are meant to shine in a way only YOU can. You were born to manifest all the brilliance inside you. And as you let your light shine, you subconsciously give others permission to do the same. As you are liberated from your own fear of standing out, your presence automatically liberates those around you too.”
Looking great! It will be awesome when it’s done!
Thanks Debbie! I love seeing the finishes!
Trust is my word this year, but you seem to be doing that way better than me already. OMG …look at that happy color in your new bath!
It is a little over the top but love it!
As long as things keep moving forward it will all come together and look great!!!
Today many meetings on concrete and tile! 🙂
Looks really nice. Thanks for sharing this part of your life. Your statement “your home needs to be your sanctuary.” Speaks to me
Thanks so much! I have always believed in this!
It’s so much work- but so worth it in the end! Love that closet-can I move in? teeheehee
I know..seriously! You should see my existing closet.
