Moving My Rear April Edition!

Ok, so I have fallen off the walking wagon.  In March my goal was to Move My Rear for over 50 miles.  Not only have I fallen off, I have kicked the wagon  and blew a hole through the tire.  I came up with every excuse; my new website, rain, my dog ate it, too lazy, too tire, too blah, blah, blah,.  I will say this.  I did achieve over the 50 miles.  The final weekend of March I made sure to do some walking but did not log that in.  But I am talking those breaks that I take to walk, listen to music, sometimes run and just clear my brain.

In March I logged in 46.63 miles on MapMyWalk:

Sunday I decided no excuses and got back on the wagon!

What I know for sure is all the excuses add up to me feeling less energetic and once you get out of the habit it is hard to get back into it.  So time to Move My Rear in April!  Now that the weather is getting nicer who is with me??  I know spring is in the air for many and time to kick those excuses to the curb!  I am off to take my walk right now!

You will be dead one day.  Sorry to be so dramatic, but it’s true.  The question is: Are you choosing to live right now?  Take a moment and think about.  Life doesn’t start when “this, that, or the other thing” is resolved.  This IS your time.  Life is now.  Do something with it.  Don’t wait it away.

  1. I’m with you! I never thought of setting a mileage goal. I like that idea…something to work towards! Winter always takes a toll on me (my excuse :))

    • Glad to have you join me Teresa! I need to set one for April. March was a little lofty because I put some bike rides in there but I know I can do it if I put my mind to it 🙂

  2. I’ll jump in on this too. I’m in Ontario Canada and while we do have a bit of a warm up, it’s still very cool out and still some snow around. I’m recovering from a pretty bad ankle injury and just back to work today. So I will start slow and make my goal 25 miles in April. I will reevaluate later in the month and may increase the goal if my foot feels up to it. I’m looking forward to moving my rear in April! Thanks for the motivation Tracy!

    • YEAH!!! I better set my goal too!!!! Take it easy on that ankle Carole but happy to have you join me! Happy to have you and others join me. I am thinking maybe 50 miles again for me. Oh man…did I say that?
