Today was the big day that Tyler started 4th grade. He was so excited. He was up about 6:30 am and got ready, fixed his lunch and had breakfast all before I was even out of bed. I was excited for him. We took our normal first day photos and headed out. We anxiously wanted outside his class where he met-up with old friends.
Meanwhile, I headed out for PTA duties which seem to be starting out early. I always promised myself that I would not over-volunteer but I already felt helium-arm raising. I agreed to do reading to the kindergarten classes again this year. Last year I went in dressed as Cat In the Hat which left a lasting impressions on many.
After dropping Tyler off, I went to work for 3 hours and then off to the gym. I am back at it every day and tomorrow the twins will be going with me. We all need to get back on a routine. They start preschool in a couple of weeks. They are excited for that.
I capped off my day by meeting with my book club tonight for dinner. They are a great group of ladies. This month we discussed Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven by Fannie Flagg. I highly recommend this book. It is a light, fast, feel-good read.
