Happy 17th birthday to my oldest! I had the pleasure last week of having a day with Tyler. We started out at Sunglasses Hut for his new Ray Bans…
Since I had a coupon for the sunglasses I decided to buy him a Tesla……KIDDING! Well, I did save $50 on the sunglasses!
Then I had the pleasure of having lunch with him at PF Chang’s. It was nice to have this time to talk about work, school, his goals, etc.
It all made me think about where the time has gone..
Oh how I miss those days of controlling the environment you were in, knowing where you are and those outside influences. Now at 17 I hope we have done our job, continue to steer you in the right direction and see all the lesson’s life has to teach. I am here for the up’s and the down’s and happy to see the young man you have become and are becoming. Happy Birthday to my first born. The first one who stole my heart. Love you, Mom.
Life is change, but growth is optional. Choose wisely. To be a success in life you don’t have to be perfect, you just have to remain perfectly capable of improving. Let your mistakes, and life’s twits and turns strengthen you. Growth and change may be painful sometimes, but nothing in life is as painful as staying stuck where you don’t belong.”
Congratulations to you both, I remember those days with nostalgia, life was so much simpler. Having had 6 kids and now 15 grandchildren, it all seems like a dream!!!! Have to tell you that I do not miss any of the monday fun , but living in Ct I am always too late in joining the chat… But have to say you bring great joy in my life your joie de vivre is contagious. Cant help the french words as I am french….
All the best.
