I found another great find in San Diego!  I love when I come across little gems in my fine city that are affordable and fun……The La Jolla Festival of Arts is just that!  What an inspiring and amazing place to see how creative people are!

This artist Peter Daskaloff used photography, epoxy and lots of jewelry in his pieces.  They were so beautiful!

The colors and variety of mediums was amazing…

I just had to take a photo of this because it is so OCD me and how I would arrange my pastels.  Artists are quirky folk.

I immediately recoginzed the art of David Lozeau who sells art at my friend's store in Old Town.  He is so talented and nice!  Love his work but of course I do because he uses skulls (I need to talk him into the nice pretty pink ones with bows):

I recognized Raziah Roushan who has been my neighbor at the San Marcos ArtWalks…so talented!  Among her many talents she is a a Mardonnari (street painter…I had to look it up!) and was painting a piece to auction off.

Seeing all this talent was intimidating to say the least!  I don't know how I describe my art (although a couple of weeks ago I think I used the word Dr. Seuss-like)…but it is MY art.  It is from ME!  I have to remember not to be lose that inspiration when I feel intimidated.  The great thing is if the art thing does not pay off I think I found another form of expression….

The problem is though:  There is no talking, smiling or moving which go against all my beliefs AND I had to scratch my nose!  Don't worry mom and dad, I am not going to take up yet another career. This one is definitely NOT for me but she was great at it.  No matter how I tried she did not move an inch 🙂

Now I am on the quest to find more art shows locally!

To live lightheartedly but not recklessly; to be gay without being boisterous; to be courageous without being bold; to show trust and cheerful resignation without fatalism — this is the art of living. ~Jean De La Fontaine
