Today, I’m thrilled to share with you two morning meditation sessions that will kickstart your day with creativity and joy. In these sessions, we’ll be using the same exact supplies to create two small projects that are simple, fast, and most importantly, fun! With a beautiful watercolor palette, we’ll delve into the world of floral art, bringing vibrant blooms to life in our art journals.

Morning Meditation One

Prep your art journal page by taping off the edges of your paper with painter’s tape. Then mist down your watercolor palette with water.

I’m going to add three dots of color to my paper and then drop some yellow watercolor paint on the water to create my flower centers. Then, I’ll paint petals around each center with pinks, purples, and reds. Dry with a heat tool.

I’m going to add some mint green paint to my background. Dry with a heat tool again.

Next, I’ll use my Molotow Pens to doodle on my flowers, outlining the petals and flower centers and adding texture lines. I’ll also sketch some leaves in my bottom right corner. I’ll also outline my art piece to create a black border.

I’ll come in with more of the green watercolor paint and fill in that negative space with more color. Dry with a heat tool. Finally, I’ll add iridescent glitter to my flower centers. Remove your painter’s tape and enjoy!

Morning Meditation Two

Prep your art journal page by taping off the edges of your paper with painter’s tape. Then mist down your watercolor palette with water.

I’ll use my Molotow Pens to sketch three flowers – one towards the middle and two other two going off of the page. Fill in each flower center with yellow and orange watercolor paint.

Next, I’ll add water to all of my background areas and then drop in some mint green and blue watercolor paint, letting the colors blend together. Dry with a heat tool.

I’ll add pink watercolor paint, purple watercolor paint, and peach-colored watercolor paint to each flower – making the color darker towards the flower center and lighter as it goes toward the tips of the petals. Dry with a heat tool.

Use Molow Pens to outline and add texture lines to your flower petals and centers. I’ll also outline my entire page to create a black border around my art piece.

Next, I’ll take some watered-down black acrylic paint, dip a fan brush into the mixture, and tap it above my page to create a splatter effect. Dry with a heat tool.

Finish it off with iridescent glitter on each of the flower centers. Dry with a heat tool and remove your painter’s tape.
