I am happy to say that my feet have hit the trails and beaches again. I find my happy place is along those trails with my headphones taking in everything around me. I am grabbing my tea first thing and hitting the grasslands….
I am hitting the local boardwalk beaches for some sand between my toes! and working it into date night.
Wednesday I returned to the mountain, Mt. Woodson and it was not easy! It is 2 miles uphill which adds to the cardio level. I was determined to take it in……
and I took it further to Potato Chip Rock which I had not been to in all these years…
mind you I don’t have a fear so much of heights but of falling (is that the same?) but I came this far and since I knew no one….I crawled my way and it was not pretty but it was me!
I did it…………and enjoyed my private rock that I have always loved.
Now if only I could figure out how to have Starbucks deliver my tea. I have found that taking my morning tea on the morning hike is a great motivation to MOVE MY REAR! The miles are growing and the pounds seem to drop off too. Over 35 miles this month!
Sure glad I choose to start my day like this. I find it motivates me for the rest of the day and week. Push yourself because you never know what you will find along the way!
The most painful thing is losing yourself in the process of loving someone else too much, and completely forgetting that you are special too. Yes, nurture others, but don’t forget about yourself. Happy people know self-love isn’t selfish. They put their needs first because they see the power of showing up fully for others. When you take care of yourself, you are better able to help the people you care about. If you sacrifice all your needs in order to help them, you’re only showing up as a shell of your true self.”
Hi Tracy! You so motivate me! Thanks for your inspiration with your artwork and your positive attitude towards life and getting out there “moving your rear”. It really pushes me to do the same. I look forward to your blog entry’s each day. Btw, what calendar system are you using to track your miles? Seems like a great way to keep track of your progress. Thks again from Flat Rock Michigan, Lisa T.
Hi Lisa, I always wonder who if anyone is out there and LOVE to hear from others that I touch in some small way. I feel better when I “move my rear” and not easy to do it. It is better with friends! I use MapMyWalk app on my phone and love it. You can add friends so add me if you get it. And you can check your status online so I try to push myself. And………I am from Michigan girl but live in San Diego so love me the MidWest!
Awesome! I especially enjoyed the photo of the tree, with your tea in the foreground 🙂 And what an incredible rock!! I am looking forward to hearing more about this special journey of yours!
Thanks so much Mellena!!!!! I am trying to keep it fun and interesting and really enjoying the time!
