Prep your art journal page by taping off the edges with Painter’s Tape. Then, add a coat of white gesso to prime your page. Next, I’ll paint my background with Cinnamon Stick, Quin Gold, and Carbon Black in an up-and-down motion. Dry with a heat tool.

I’ll grab my white gesso again and paint a flower from the corner of my page. Then, I’ll add white paint and Cobalt Teal Hue to my petals. I’ll also blend in Cobalt Turquoise Hue. Then, I’ll use a stencil brush to dab black paint on my flower center. Dry with a heat tool.

I’ll use a liner brush with Carbon Black and Titanium White to add detail lines to my petals. Then, I’ll use a small stencil brush to add Extreme Sheen 24K Gold to my flower center. Dry with a heat tool.

Add color around the edges of your page with Dare 2b Artzy Hybrid Black Stamp Pad and a stencil brush. I’ll also add ink to my background in an up-and-down motion to create a wood-grain look. Dry with a heat tool and remove the painter’s tape.
